The 13th edition of the Athens Animfest in Greece has picked Iranian animation 'Empty View' in its official selection.
Directed by Ali Zare-Qanatnowei, the flick is to take part at the 2018 edition of the Greek film event.
‘Empty View’ displays a mother’s long expectation for her son to return from the war.
The animation was designed and produced during two years. It combines the 2D and 3D animation techniques for the first time in Iranian cinema on such scale.
The Greek festival is organized by the European Animation Center to bring the younger generation closer to the secrets and fascination of the art of animation and their diverse applications on the small and big screen, the multimedia, the internet and education in general.
The 13th edition of the Athens Animfest is slated for March 15-18, 2018, in Greece.
